Your Pain is My Pain or How We Are All the Same & That is Awesome

An observation:

When many people talk about their pain, they are big time attached to the idea that their pain (whether physical or emotional) is greater than others' pain and that no one has ever known pain like their pain.

This story is full of Major Stuckness.

This story that your pain is not understandable to anyone else?  This story means that no one can help you, that you can't change, that there is no way out of the pain.

Now, your pain is unique in that it is yours, but I bet plenty of people out of all the people who have ever lived have felt something...similar.

To me, that is not brushing you off; to me, that is saying, we are the same and isn't that awesome?  That even in pain, we humans share these Incredible Bonds.

That story is different from the first one.

That  second story says someone might, just might, have something to teach you.

Someone might, just might, be able to help you help yourself.

That second story is Super Beautiful.

Are you willing to let go of your Stuck Pain Story and move into a new and beautiful Hopeful Healing Story?

The way you answer that question tells me everything I need to know about you.
